April 25, 1788
The Creek Chieftain in the Cumberland Valley reported to Arturo O' Neill, governor of Pensacola, about peace negotiations with whites on this day in 1788. He said that two deputies had come to him from Cumberland, saying that their people were in such extreme distress as a result of the excursions of his warriors that they were willing to submit to any conditions in order to obtain peace.

April 25, 1785
On this day in 1785, the response to the newly organized state of Franklin from Governor Martin of North Carolina came in the form of a "manifesto." It asked the people to return their allegiance to North Carolina.
